By working together Solitaire Windows and Kömmerling take an active involvement in ensuring fabricators and installers
can have total confidence that its windows are amongst the most thermally-efficient on the market.
Current Building regulations in England and Wales allow a whole window u-value of 2.0 W/m2K. From March 2003 the regulation
in Scotland was reduced to 1.8 W/m2K - a move which may well be copied in England and Wales within the next three to five
years.
Installed correctly by Solitaire Windows, all Kömmerling frames fitted with Pilkington K Glass™ meet or exceed
Part L of the Building Regulations.
Independent Hot Box Testing carried out to BS EN ISO 12567-1 at the National Physical Laboratory in London, produced
the current results for Kömmerling window systems.
